Interacting with Abydos is a digital exhibition that tells the stories uncovered by the North Abydos Expedition. As the team’s programming lead, I developed the interactive experience featuring 3D Artifact Station and Sliding Excavation Site.

Users can explore the 3D exhibition environment by dragging to look around and clicking or using arrow keys to move forward and backward. The 3D Artifact Station uses photogrammetry files obtained from the Abydos team onsite to highlight key discoveries. The Sliding Excavation Site illustrates the history of Abydos by representing time as depth.

More information about the project can be found on the website abydosinteract.com.

3D Artifact Station provides a detailed view of artifacts discovered onsite.

Sliding Excavation Site gives an overview of the excavation site over time.
