Pixel Manipulation & Color Experience
For our pixel + color project, Filmon and I created an interactive experience that explores the way colors impact people’s emotions. Initially inspired by the recent surge of custom Instagram filters, we wanted to emulate a sort of filter/color booth, where users can apply different effects on the video captured from their webcam. This basis on the concept of “selfie” allows us to direct the users to reflect on the relationship between their physical selves and how they are portrayed on the screen. For each section, we ask the user to think about how the randomly generated color makes them feel, coupled with the specific filter.
