ITP Winter Show Poster

In my poster for the winter show, I wanted to express our efforts to make the new space, 370 Jay Street, our home. One of the biggest struggles has been to get the lighting to feel warm and cozy instead of the cool light temperature. Additionally, the lights have often been malfunctioning or otherwise meddled via Bluetooth connection, going back and forth between the white and orange colors rapidly. Using this article on the color of light, I represented the glitching lights through color blocks in the background of my poster. Along with the hands reaching towards each other, it illustrates our efforts to arrive at the warm place where we all feel at home. Lastly, the theme of cut-outs and paper textures hint at the undying kid-like spirit of people at ITP.
